Higonokami Kiridashi
Higonokami are legendary throughout Japan, once carried by every child for pencil sharpening, they are woodworking marking tools used to precisely mark-out timber. People do use for other tasks but they are not recommended for heavy use. These are (on the most part) precision tools designed to be used instead of a pencil, or for light carving in soft wood.
