Sitting dutifully next to our latest order of kitchen knives and whetstones from Japan are these beautifully crafted traditional Japanese hammers.
I had to be stopped taking them home for myself, there is something very alluring about them.
You can view the entire range here, and there is plenty of information available as to their specific uses. What we do love is their precision, weighting and sizing specific to using our Japanese chisels and woodworking planes, we also love the square and octagonal variants for fine hammering work. The right angled (and flat) edges making it easier to get into tight spaces and/or hammer small nails accurately straight.
Personally, I love the octagonal hammers, for look and action but they are all great value and high performers.
