Crafted in Fukui, Japan this Mumei shirogami Shakekiri knife is a great value deba alternative. Although they are rustic-mid level finish, they possess good quality steel and are nicely proportioned. Great for the chef that finds a Deba knife a little too cumbersome.

Much like their Deba cousin the Shakekiri knife is a traditional Japanese kitchen knife used by chefs for fish. The shakekiri is designed primarily for the preparation of salmon, but is a great alternative to the deba being slightly thinner and lighter.
