Morihei have sourced a very special kanna for us in this piece. This blade was hand forged in 1960 and has been waiting a lifetime for use. The die (timber) is relatively new and both are in pristine condition, amazing for a tool of this age.
Just 1 of these planes is available, as pictured. Akimitsu San has already set the kanna up, a small amount of adjustment may be required but it is ready to use.

Japanese Woodworking Tools | Kanna (Planes)
The Japanese woodworking plane, known as kanna in Japan, is one of the most pleasing and rewarding hand tools to use. Like their nokogiri (hand saw) cousins, the kanna cuts on the pull stroke, unlike western woodworking planes that cut when pushed. Most kanna do require a small amount of set-up (known as tuning) before use, not a complicated task.
